Products Description
The Silver Silicone Foam Dressing is an advanced, multi-layer wound care product that combines the antimicrobial properties of silver with the gentle adhesion and high absorbency of silicone foam. It's primarily used for infected wounds or wounds at high risk of infection that have moderate to heavy drainage.
Based on the Silver Foam Dressing, it adds a silicone adhesive layer (available in frame-type or full-layer covered design), with silver ions loaded in the foam base material. A polyurethane foam layer that efficiently absorbs moderate to high levels of wound exudate vertically, helping prevent maceration (softening and breakdown) of the surrounding skin. A soft, medical-grade silicone adhesive layer that adheres securely to the intact surrounding skin but not the moist wound bed. This design ensures minimal pain and trauma during dressing changes, even for patients with fragile skin.

Feature
Infection Control
Provides a continuous antimicrobial barrier to reduce bioburden and prevent bacterial invasion, which is vital for non-healing wounds or those at high risk of infection.
01
Pain-Free Removal
The gentle silicone adhesive minimizes pain and trauma to the wound bed and surrounding skin during dressing changes, enhancing patient comfort.
02
Moisture Management
The high absorbency and moisture-balancing properties prevent the wound from becoming too dry or too wet, both of which can hinder healing.
03
Fewer Dressing Changes
The sustained release of silver and high absorption capabilities allow the dressing to stay in place for several days (up to 7 days), reducing the frequency of changes and potentially lowering treatment costs.
04
Ease of Use
Self-adherent and bordered, requiring no additional tape or fixation.
05
Application
Infected Wounds & High-Infection-Risk Injuries: Ideal for clinically infected wounds and scenarios with high infection susceptibility. It delivers sustained silver ion release to suppress pathogenic bacterial growth, thereby minimizing the potential of infection dissemination.
Chronic Non-Healing Wounds: For wounds that fail to heal over an extended period, it integrates the dressing's inherent antibacterial activity and exudate management function to optimize the wound repair microenvironment and enhance the overall healing efficiency.
Postoperative Wounds with Contamination Risks: Applied to postoperative wounds prone to contamination, it reduces bacterial colonization likelihood and cuts down infection rates, while efficiently absorbing wound exudate to facilitate the initial stage of wound healing.
NPWT-Compatible Applications: Certain variants are compatible with Negative Pressure Wound Therapy (NPWT). During the negative pressure drainage process, silver ions keep exerting antibacterial effects, making them suitable for the combined therapeutic management of complex infected wounds.
