The PU Transparent Island Dressing is a type of wound care product that features a central, non-adherent absorbent pad surrounded by a thin, flexible, and transparent polyurethane (PU) film with an adhesive border. This design creates a protective "island" over the wound.
The substrates used include highly transparent polyurethane films (with a film weight of 20-40 grams per square meter). Specially developed hypoallergenic adhesive has an adhesion area of 30-50 grams per square meter, providing excellent initial and repeated adhesion. It has moderate peel strength, minimizing pain during removal, and the edges are less likely to lift. It offers long-lasting adhesion and will not detach even when wet.
